Hello Spring!
Finally spring has arrived down here and I can tell you the spring sun spoiled us this weekend! But first things first. I started off the week with work and the new tradition with Dave of watching a movie on Monday nights. This week has also been packed with way too much uni and all those readings and writings are really tiring me!
Oh yeah and fun things after I've been asked why I don't bake my own bread if I miss it that much - I started that mission right away and already did it twice! ;) first try on Wednesday wasn't that good actually, it turned out to be a good but more of a character-bread than pretty bread. We didn't have any baking paper at the A-Frame so I thought why not try to use sketch-paper instead!? Well as you might be able to tell, after the baking it was impossible to separate paper and bread... Tasted good though. ;) Second try on Saturday was way better and more beautiful as well and now there are only some stripes of paper left on the bread.
This week was also the first week both tennis-sessions actually worked out, however thursday night was FREAKING COLD!!!! I bet it was below 0°C!
And then, finally on Friday night, I went to my first Footy match! Having Dave and the girl-who-lived-in-my-room-before-me's boyfriend sitting on each side of me I was being well informed on whatever those ridiculous looking guys on the court were doing. Who gives them THESE short shorts?!??! Well if you ask me I don't think that there are many rules to the game but if you ask any Australian they'd say that there are heaps of rules. To me it's more of making loud remarks at the stands and cuddling on the court. And why do random people run around the field? oh yes right, they bring the players some water (??!!!) or if they are wearing yellow, they come with new orders from the coach.
Saturday we had a multi-cultural dinner at our house, which was pretty awesome as we for instance made dumplings and we had a bbq going as well. Finishing off with some cardgames which in my point of view (as long as it's not Bridge) can't be seen as an incentive for aging. haha.
Sunday started great - we had a great pancake breakfast in the sun and as it was really awesome weather, as I might have mentioned before ;) the sun was shining all day long and I think I got some of my tanning back while playing beachvolleyball with some cool people at the south Melbourne beach so that was a total win-win.
And to end that day in a great way we had a sushi-party at our house and made our own delicious sushi. Great day. Great week. Let's see what the next one brings!!
ps.: Next post will be on Monday as I'll be in Sydney/Newcastle for the weekend!
